Colour Is Personal

The imperial greens command the highest prices, but jade lives in whites, lavenders, honey yellows, smoky blacks and every green in between. The right colour is the one you will still want against your skin in twenty years, not the one the market prices highest this decade.

Look Through the Stone

Translucence — what the trade calls water — is what separates a living stone from a dull one. Hold a piece to the light. Fine jade seems lit from within; the light does not bounce off it so much as move through it.

Ask What It Is

Natural, untreated jadeite is worth a conversation; dyed or resin-filled stone is not worth your money. Ask directly. A seller who welcomes the question is a seller you can trust. We deal only in natural jadeite, and we will say so as plainly in person as we do here.
