Bao Xiang Rui is a catalogue and enquiry website. We do not process payments or take orders online, so we do not collect card or banking details. We collect only what you choose to share when you enquire:
- Enquiry details — when you send an enquiry through our enquiry basket or contact form, we collect your name and the contact details you provide (such as phone number and email), your preferred contact method, and any message or notes about the pieces you are interested in.
- WhatsApp messages — if you contact us on WhatsApp, your message and phone number reach us directly. WhatsApp is operated by Meta; your use of it is also governed by Meta’s privacy policy.
- Basket contents — the pieces you add to your enquiry basket are stored temporarily in your browser and in a website session so your shortlist is ready when you enquire. This information is not personal to you until you choose to send it.
- Technical information — like most websites, our server keeps standard logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you give us only to:
- respond to your enquiry, personally, with a piece’s price, availability and details;
- arrange a private consultation or viewing at our shop, or share photographs and video on request;
- keep a record of our correspondence with you; and
- maintain the security and proper functioning of the website.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for automated advertising or profiling.
Who We Share It With
We keep your information confidential and share it only with service providers who help us operate — for example our website host and our email-delivery service — and only to the extent needed to run the site and reply to you. We may disclose information if required by law. Our website uses Google Fonts to display type; this may involve your browser contacting Google’s servers.
How Long We Keep It
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to serve you and to keep a reasonable business record, after which it is deleted. Temporary basket and session data clears on its own after a short period.
Your Rights Under the PDPA
